What Do You Want?

Today’s post is sponsored by my apparent inability to write a blog post.

Although I’m still impressed that my readership has more than doubled since being featured on Freshly Pressed a couple of weeks ago, it has left me ridiculously indecisive. It’s as if the increase in readers has paralyzed the part of my brain that actually knows how to write a blog. Instead of actually writing content lately, I’ve spent most of my time sitting in front of a blank “add post” page, thinking way too hard about what I want to write. The reason? Because instead of just writing whatever I want, I’ve become strangely obsessed with writing what you want. You, my lovely, loyal readers, along with the newbies who have stumbled here lately.

I don’t blame you (well maybe I do, a little bit… I kid, I kid), but I guess what I really want to know is why do you people want to read this blog? What do you want to get out of it? So I decided to do a poll, because a poll is essentially a list, and lists make me happy.

So the question is, what would you most like to read on this blog? Check all that apply:

If you wish I would write about something that’s not listed in the poll, help a sister out by leaving it in the comments below. Thanks as always for reading, and thanks in advance for taking a second to let me know your thoughts!

I’ll be back with a real post soon, hopefully Friday. Until then, go be awesome!

  1. Slightly jealous of your doubled readership, but I can definitely see why. Your writing style is relate-able and down-to-earth. I think many of us read blogs because it’s a way to feel connected with those who inspire us and/or think like us. Love the poll on topics of interest too! I voted πŸ™‚ Keep it up girl!!

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words!! I appreciate the feedback πŸ™‚

  2. I have been a management type for years. I see a frequent rookie mistake being made and I tell them what I would do before their first day of training. They rarely listen. After a few weeks, the employees are complaining. “Herman used to work with us and speak to us and now he is being a jerk!”

When you were picked to be Freshly Pressed and more importantly when your followers hit the follow button, we did it because there was something about your blog that stuck with us. For me, it is “all of the above” on your poll. I like the work out ideas, the product reviews, and you had some personal insight about what you see people doing wrong and what you personally are going through in your routines.

Basically…We all can improve. But if you are the producers of Doritos, it would be foolish to start producing hot dogs. Just be you!

    1. Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! I think I was just feeling a lot of pressure.. but you’re right, people have followed because of what I’ve already written. Thanks for the reminder, and I’ll stick with my Doritos! πŸ™‚

  3. We love you for YOU, your blog is just the vehicle and every part of it is awesome. Keep doing what you’re doing lady and I think you’ll be golden!

    1. Oh my goodness, thank you! That just made me smile πŸ™‚

  4. I am one of the newbies in the blogger world and I stumbled over your blog just recently. I love how you write, so simple and down to earth. Many of your thoughts about sports and nuitrition are the same as mine. When I started up my blog, my intention was to get out these thoughts to my readers, just like you. Like the other comments above say, go on like you did until now. You inspires me!

    1. Thank you very much!! I’m glad you’ve stumbled here, and I’m happy to be able to inspire! I’ll head over and check out your blog too πŸ™‚

  5. I voted for all of them! You forgot to add rant-y posts though. Those are always my favourite. πŸ˜‰

    1. Haha! Chelsea, I knew I forgot something! Those are kind of my favorite to write, too πŸ˜‰

  6. Congratulations on your doubled readership and the beautiful problem you are now facing about what to write next because of it. Talking about it takes the charge away, I think- so look forward to your next post πŸ™‚

    1. Ahh, I think you are right! It kind of takes the pressure off… We’ll see what flows next πŸ™‚ Thanks so much!

  7. As long as you keep writing what YOU enjoy, that is the main point. What I love about your blog is its information, variety coupled with glimpses into your personal life, diets you’ve tried- I never know what to expect!
