Today, we’re going to play a game.
Never Will I Ever. No, although it sounds strikingly similar to the ever popular “Never Have I Ever”, I assure you this will not result in some of your (or my) deepest darkest secrets being revealed to all of you.
Ready? Here we go.
Never Will I Ever have the long, thin legs of a super model. It’s not in my genes (lets face it, I’m 5’6″, with some junk in the trunk, and long thin legs are just NOT physically possible for me). But the legs I do have are strong, they can squat and deadlift more than my body weight, and they carry me around in this beautiful life of mine.
Never Will I Ever have long, thick, luxurious hair. Again, not in my genes. Considering my hair has been the same wispy, fine texture since I was about 5, I’m guessing that’s not changing any time soon. I’m not going to lie, I wish I could change this, but I can’t, so I must accept it. Since it’s so fine, it IS easy to style and dries quickly… I guess that’s a plus, right?
Never Will I Ever be a master chef… But I CAN bake with the best of ’em. Pie Crust challenge? Bring it on!
Never Will I Ever be able to read and follow a map… That part of my brain just doesn’t exist, I’m afraid. But I’m not afraid to ask for directions, and that’s what GPS is for anyway, right? 🙂
Never Will I Ever eat 100% clean, 100% of the time. I’m sorry. I have my vices, I love indulgences, and I see no harm in the occasional treat if I’m otherwise healthy and keep it all in balance. But I will eat clean 80-90% of the time, and to me, that’s enough.
Never Will I Ever be able to sing the way I wish I could… But I will also never stop singing in the car, because what is life without a little car dance/song?
Never Will I Ever complete a marathon, or win any road race I enter for that matter… But I will have fun in every road race I do sign up for, especially if it is filled with obstacles, fire, mud, and/or body paint!
Never Will I Ever be able to go back and change things in my past that are questionable at best… But I will be able to learn from all of my experiences good and bad, and can improve myself by learning from the ups and downs.
Never Will I Ever act my age. Acting your age is overrated. But I will have a damn good time in the life I lead 🙂
Never Will I Ever be able to express myself as well through spoken word as I do through writing. But that is why I write this blog!
Your turn. Go!
