Well, New Year, First Blog is more like it.
This is something that I’ve been thinking about doing for a while, and I finally just figured, what the heck? Just do it already! This will definitely be a work in progress for a little while, but for the time being, let’s get started, shall we?
This will be a blog mainly about nutrition, strength training, and wellness. My life has been a fairly healthy one all along with a few blips here and there, but my true passion for strength and healthy living has really come about in the past several years. I am currently in my final class towards my MS in Applied Nutrition with a focus on fitness and nutrition from Northeastern University. As far as strength training goes, I spent most of my college years as an “elliptical drone”, but did have some experience with strength and conditioning through my work as an athletic trainer. It was not until the past 3 or 4 years that I have really learned more about and embraced heavy strength training for myself, and have really begun to promote the benefits of this type of training for women of all shapes and sizes.
So here we go! Is there anything specific that you want to read about from me? What type of training do You do, and are you getting the results you want? Where do you place your diet on the nutrition-health scale?
